Gipping Homes helps Colneis School fly the flag for Suffolk

800 years of the Magna Carta celebrated in Felixstowe.

When children from Colneis Junior School and Fairfield Infants School in Felixstowe were chosen as the winners of a 'design a flag for the Magna Carta 800th annivrsary celebrations' competition, they were thrilled.

Local MP Therese Coffey chose their design to proudly represent Suffolk in Parliament Square and at Runnymead throughout the celebrations to mark the 800th landmark. She also organised for a replica flag to be made to fly proudly at he school on Colneis Road.

However, the school did not own a flagpole until Gipping Homes stepped in! We are delighted to have been able to donate one to the school.

The flag was raised on 15th June by Dr Coffey and the children who designed the flag and we were thrilled to have been invited to a special assembly to mark the occasion.
